New information has come to light regarding the tragic deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were found at their Los Angeles home residence on Sunday.

According to a report citing a person close to the family, a practitioner arriving for an session first raised the alarm after not being able to enter the residence. The practitioner then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

When she went into the home, Romy found her father's body. It is said she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had accompanied her contacted 911. Subsequently, emergency responders discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, including the alleged use of a deadly weapon, reportedly a knife. He is currently being held and is ineligible for bail.

The person close to the family challenged several earlier details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a guesthouse on the property, she did not identify him as a suspect at that juncture.

Furthermore refuted published suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "worried" about Nick's actions in the preceding period. The source claimed the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

Nick Reiner was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, some 15 miles from the residence. He was due to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, stated his client had a medical issue and would not be present until Wednesday at the earliest.
